Sustainability

Sustainability has always been close to my heart, I can’t bear to see wastage and there is far too much of it in the world.

I always try to be sustainable as possible, from products we use as a family to eating seasonably and minimal wastage. Nothing is wasted here at The Old Forge. We encourage our guests to do the same. If you look around, most things have been repurposed to make into something useful, unusual and beautiful. We rarely buy anything new, thrifting at charity shops, jumble sales and the tip is part of our life.

Some examples of sustainable products which we use for ourselves and provide for our guests include seriously scrumptiously organic linen bedding - Piglet, Toast and Secret Linen Store, Serious Tissues, Faith in Nature, Purdy and Figg, Seep and Smol.
