Breakfast
Start your day with a scrumptious, home-cooked breakfast made from the finest local ingredients, served in our beautiful dining room.
Breakfast is pre-ordered the night before to ensure everything is freshly prepared and cooked to your liking. It’s served between 7.30 and 9:30 AM, with earlier or later times available upon request.
Our breakfast room is yours to enjoy at your leisure — whether for a quiet cup of tea, a chat by the fire, or a friendly game on the convertible pool table.
Kids & Pets
Our children love welcoming new little explorers! Well-behaved children of all ages are very welcome. The Melbury Room is ideal for families, or opt for a glamping stay for more space and outdoor freedom.
While we’re unable to accommodate dogs in our B&B rooms, our glamping area is dog-friendly — complete with a secure field for running and playing.
What People Are Saying
“We had a lovely few days with this charming family. Made very welcome and helpful Do not have a breakfast if you are on a diet, home grown produce and preserves etc. We would certainly stay with Sophie, Alex, Iris and Woody again.”
“Lovely place to stay, peaceful and relaxing. Sophie and her husband were very accommodating, helpful, friendly and were always on hand to help with any queries or issues. Would defo recommend.”
“A fantastic, friendly and relaxing B&B experience.
We had a wonderful stay at The Old Forge. The building is beautiful, full of character and charm, and the room was superb - very quiet and with an exceptionally comfortable bed. The surrounding countryside is also lovely. Sophie and family are the perfect hosts, great communication before our stay and really friendly and welcoming on arrival and throughout. The freshly cooked breakfast was delicious with a wide choice and the yoghurt / compote to start is something we are trying to recreate at home! This was the most friendly and relaxing place we have stayed in for as long as we can remember, so much so that we have already booked to stay again next year and we can’t wait!”
