The Courtyard Room - Double
After many happy years, our B&B is now closed as we focus on our glamping and holiday cottage stays. While we are no longer taking new B&B bookings, all existing reservations will of course go ahead as planned. Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us and supported our little family business over the years.
A cosy double room full of character, nestled under rustic beams and featuring a charming tweed bed. Enjoy the warmth of vintage touches, quality linen, and thoughtful details throughout. In-room amenities include a kettle, fridge, local Dorset tea, Clipper Organic coffee, and buttery Moores biscuits for a true country welcome.
You'll also find a chest of drawers, wall hooks for hanging, a radio, and a TV—perfect for relaxing after a day exploring. Just next door, the private Shell bathroom is accessed via the landing and evokes a seaside feel, stocked with sustainable Faith in Nature shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

We had a wonderful stay at The Old Forge. The building is beautiful, full of character and charm, and the room was superb - very quiet and with an exceptionally comfortable bed. The surrounding countryside is also lovely. Sophie and family are the perfect hosts, great communication before our stay and really friendly and welcoming on arrival and throughout. The freshly cooked breakfast was delicious with a wide choice and the yoghurt / compote to start is something we are trying to recreate at home! This was the most friendly and relaxing place we have stayed in for as long as we can remember, so much so that we have already booked to stay again next year and we can’t wait!”
