We're absolutely over the moon and incredibly proud to have received this recognition. To be awarded Gold in a category celebrating glamping businesses across Dorset is something very special to us.
A Little Family Business with a Big Heart
The Old Forge has always been about creating somewhere special for people to escape the busyness of everyday life, slow down and enjoy a little slice of the Dorset countryside.
As a small, family-run business, we do everything ourselves, from looking after our accommodation and animals to welcoming guests and keeping everything running behind the scenes, all while raising our family and home educating our children.
It's certainly not always easy juggling everything, but we put so much love and care into what we do. To have that recognised with a Gold award makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Woody the Hut offers a cosy countryside hideaway with spectacular views across the Downs, a private hot tub and beautiful dark skies for stargazing. It's the perfect spot for a romantic break, a peaceful digital detox or simply a chance to breathe.
The Wheelwrights Cottage is our charming, dog-friendly self-catering cottage, complete with a wood-burning stove and a lovely courtyard. It's ideal for a relaxing countryside getaway, with wonderful walks and welcoming country pubs nearby.
And don't forget, Cranborne Chase is an International Dark Sky Reserve, making our corner of Dorset a wonderful place to enjoy star-filled skies, particularly during those crisp autumn and winter evenings.
