Sam the Shepherds Hut
Sam the Shepherds Hut
Sam sits just across the field from Rosie. He was purchased from a Dorset retired shepherd, Larry Skeats, just after he had hung up his crook! We have now restored Sam to his former glory and have added a verandah where you can sit out and gaze across the field to the Dorset Downs.
There's a comfy 4ft double bed draped in a rose patterned quilt, bedside table, Roberts Radio and Lloyd loom chair. The wood burning stove will boil your kettle and there is an eclectic mix of vintage enamel tins filled with tea & coffee and home made biscuits, along with board games and maps of the local area. The curtains are made from Laura Ashley dresses circa 1970!
Lighting is by lantern and tea lights and a re-chargeable lantern. There is a composting loo and shower in a converted out building just 20 meters away.
Ideal for couples coming away with friends or well behaved children
Sam, the shepherd's hut (and Rosie, the Gypsy caravan) are also handled by Sawday's Canopy & Stars. Just click on the logo on the pages.
